Congratulations to our School-to-Work Program

Our School-to-Work Program received the 'Program of the Year Award' from the Central Massachusetts YMCA.  Tonight the program was recognized in Worcester.  This is a huge honor for the program.  Congratulations to all of the students and staff involved!

Draft District Emergency Plan

Parent Project Night at MSS

This past Tuesday the MSS put on a parent night program.  Workshops for parents included a range of topics such as cyberSafety, family literacy, social thinking, behavior strategies, and mathematically speaking.  The program was very well attended.  Many thanks to Mrs. Stocklin, Mrs. Coakley, the MSS PTG and presenters Ms. Ellen Miller form the Attorney General's office, Ms. DeMartini, Ms. Shorr, Ms. Tilva, Ms. Estephan, Ms. Kreisberg, Ms. Cederberg, Ms. Antollino-Bukoski, Ms. Carew, and Ms. Nahme!

Our GHS Unified Basketball Team is in full swing!  I had a chance to participate in a scrimmage with them this week and was dominated by the Lewin twins.  The team has been practicing hard and has it's first scrimmage against Oxford on Saturday.  Congratulations to the entire team for all of their hard work and progress and good luck on Saturday!

K-6 English Language Arts Curriculum Committee




Thanks to Jen Mannion, co-facilitator of the K-6 ELA Curriculum Committee and principal of North Street Elementary School, for presenting on the process for organizing our new learning standards around essential questions and enduring understandings.

Through Jen's leadership with Doreen Parker, fellow facilitator and the principal of South Grafton Elementary School, the team is designing grade-level curriculum focused on inquiry and deep conceptual knowledge.
